Manual Osteopathic Treatment is gentle hands on approach to the body with specificity in every treatment to improve overall function and health within the body. Treatment may include, and not limited to working through all layers of tissue from the fascial, muscular, ligamentous and even bony layers. Treatment is pain free and calming to the body by working with the nervous system to find health in the tissues by encouraging blood supply and opening drainage pathways. There is no technique in Osteopathic Care, instead different modalities (or tools) are used based on the need of the tissues and joints in question. The goal of Osteopathic Care is to get you feeling better for longer!

Courtney Steven is an Osteopathic Manual Practitioner, she graduated and received her Master of Osteopathic Manual Science (M.OMSc.) from the Canadian Academy of Osteopathy in Hamilton. Prior to her journey into Osteopathy Courtney was a Registered Kinesiologist, she graduated with a H.Ba.Kin. from Lakehead University in 2013.

Courtney was born and raised in Stratford. Over the years she has been actively involved in the Stratford community. From local sports teams growing up, Stratford Concert Band, the local Junior Farmers Association, and medical coverage for the local rugby club.

After graduating from Lakehead Courtney worked as a Registered Kinesiologist at a Physiotherapy company in Stratford, before discovering Osteopathy. Since a young age Courtney always knew that she wanted to work with people and after a few sport related injuries she knew that she wanted to be able to help them to feel better.

In 2016 she found her calling in Osteopathy and quickly enrolled in the 4 year program. After graduating in 2020 Courtney opened her own practice in Ingersoll and Wasaga Beach. After four and a half years of traveling Courtney is returning to Stratford to spend more time with her family.

When she isn’t working, Courtney enjoys spending time with her friends and family, camping, and supporting the Ontario Nostalgic Drag Racers. She also loves to travel and experience new cultures.
